Who?

Bassoonist Benjamin Do is a dynamic performer and educator in Metro Detroit. He remembers hearing the bassoon for the first time in the documentary March of The Penguins. Afterwards, he asked his middle school band director if he could play it . Throughout high school, Ben studied bassoon with Micheal Ma as well as playing bassoon in the Oakland Youth Orchestras and Detroit Symphony Youth orchestra. During his education at Oakland, Ben studied with Jaqauin Sloan and Cornelia Sommer. He has had the opportunity to perform with many local orchestras throughout Metro Detroit, as well as winning the Royal Oak Concerto Competition. He plans to continue his education following his undergraduate degree.
